Happy Place Drop-in Sessions May & June 2022
The sessions were run by poets Mab Jones and Caleb Parkin with support from Philip Monks as Project Co-ordinator. There were wonderful discussions and activities as well as a great range of interesting pieces created – see some of these on our Writings page. You can also drop in to Henleaze Library and see some of the pieces on the noticeboard in our Happy Space upstairs on the mezzanine.

50th Birthday Celebration 23rd April 2022
We finally celebrated the 50th birthday of Henleaze Library in April 22, only 2 years late! This was of course due to the pandemic. It was oddly exhilarating to have our first public event for over 2 years and it was lovely to see so many people there. A big thank you to everyone who said a few words in support of libraries and about their own experiences, and to Darren Jones, our local MP, who not only cut the cake but was also very nifty at handing out the portions!
